ReplyDeleteYou JUST fixed my blog...so I wanted to say 'thanks!' I liked reading about you and how this blogger-aide thing evolved. I promise I won't start stalking you though. You're girl is beautiful and again, I truly appreciate the help! You save my day!! :)
ReplyDelete@Miss Brit: That's nice of you. We don't get too many appreciative feedbacks around here. And glad you got your blog fixed. Have a nice day.
ReplyDeleteCheers and God bless.
womder ful work bro..it helped me alot...continue working so hard ....thanx once again
ReplyDelete@prakhar: I'm glad you think so. That's what I strive to emulate. Cheers.
ReplyDeletesuper helpful. thank you :)
ReplyDelete@Ambica: You're welcome. Cheers and God bless.
ReplyDeleteI've spent a bit of time here and am still stuck. Code is another language for me. However, it is obvious you take great care in outlining all the steps to help others. This is by far the most informative site I've stumbled across in my search. I think what I'm looking for is even MORE basic. Blogger is great, but I'm too much of a perfectionist for the basic layouts/widgets. Lol! I suppose I'll have to hire someone to appease my whims. Take care and keep up the most excellent work. I'll check back and try again if I have a "light bulb" moment!
ReplyDelete@Kristina: I get what you mean. All the tweaks, especially the ones that involve coding, can be really intimidating at first. But once you start to get the hang of it, you will learn to have fun. And thanks for the positive remarks, appreciate it. Should you need any Blogger related help, feel free to leave a comment in the appropriate post page in this blog, or use the contact form to get in touch with me. Cheers and God bless.
ReplyDeleteThank You for nice and clear explanations. It helped me a lot to build my blog (http://cad-unigraphics-projects.blogspot.com/).
ReplyDelete@Ivan: Glad to hear that. Nice blog you got there. Keep up the good work. Cheers and God bless.
ReplyDeleteHi, thanks for all your help... every post has been very helpful for me since I´m learning this blogging thing. Sorry my english, I just wanted to say hi!
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Colombia!!!!
@Lalee: Glad you find my posts helpful. Hi back at ya!
ReplyDeleteHello...
ReplyDeleteI just had to stop and say THANK YOU! You have helped so very much. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers as you continue with your post-grad studies. I know how that can be but you sound like you are very grounded, have a fantastic support system with your soulmate and family, and are a dedicated person.
You are already a success by touching so many souls with your guidance. You are on a road that will lead to many beautiful things, I am sure. Good luck to you and your loved ones.
And thank you again for your assistance.
@Angela: Isn't that something. Your wishes just made my day :) Thanks a bunch! And I wish you all the best too. Cheers and God bless.
ReplyDeleteI want to thank you for helping so many of us!! I was almost mental trying to figure out how to remove the stinkin' frame around my uploaded images on my blog.
ReplyDeleteYou made it simple and easy for us knuckleheads ;-)
You are the BEST!!!
Thanks.
@Hannah: That is thoughtful. I'm glad I've helped you. Feel free to contact me should you need my help again in the future. Just click on the 'Ask a Question' link at the top of this page (or at the bottom).
ReplyDeleteCheers and God bless.
Thank you, Yoboy, for creating this blog. It's a lifeline for useless HTML-oblivious bloggers like myself. I'm still learning, struggling along, trying to make my three blogs worth looking at, and you help make the learning process that much easier. Valerie x
ReplyDeletehttp://movies-and-books-world.blogspot.com/
@Valeria: Thanks for the feedback. You have a nice blog. It takes time to gain readers, but eventually you'll get there and it'll make your blogging experience more interesting and fun. Commenting in other blogs is one way to gain readers. And you can head over to the Coffee Shop in Blogger help forum to make new friends and gain more readers. Cheers and God bless.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot for your timely help. You are doing a wonderful job in helping others. The CSS code worked for me but it made me to alter the side widget width as it has restored the side widget to its default width. Once again thanks a lot...Wish you and your Fiance GoodLuck!!!
ReplyDeletehttp://oracleapplicationsfunctional.blogspot.com/
@Pavithara: That's thoughtful of you to drop some words. Glad you rectified the bug that came with the fix. Happy blogging.
ReplyDeleteCheers and God bless.
i would like to thank you for helping me improve my blog: angitimnalibro.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteGod bless!!! :)
Merry Christmas!!!
@istrayps: No problem mate :) Cheers...
ReplyDeleteLove your blog! I'm a design geek and LOVE your header. Don't know how I have missed you before but so glad to find you now. From a new fan and follower.
ReplyDelete@Crystal: Thanks for dropping some words.. Hope you enjoy your stay here :)
ReplyDeleteEveryone says that I should have went with Word Press, but I'm a Blogger type of girl. I want my page to look like this, but now I am stuck in Dynamic Views!!
ReplyDeleteYou've made the right choice by sticking with Blogger. I can't tell you enough how Blogger is better than WP..
DeleteAre you for hire? If not, do you know who is a good and reasonable person I can use as my main tech person?
ReplyDeleteHi there. I'm a full time student - I'm afraid I won't be able to live up to your expectations. I do these things as a hobby. I won't really call myself a web designer. I just like to play with things. If the list of things you're trying to achieve isn't too long, you can start shooting your questions one by one, and I will try my best to help you out - no fees required :)
DeleteSend me a blank email.
Happy Valentine's Day to you dear.. XOXOXO
ReplyDeleteHappy valentine's day to you too darling :)
DeleteIs there a way to allow people to follow you via the dynamic views?
ReplyDeleteYes, there is a way to allow people to follow you in DV, but there's no way to display who are these people. To allow people to follow you, add a link that could allow them to follow your blog. In your case, this link is:
Deletehttp://www.blogger.com/follow-blog.g?blogID=7220344310971803707
Go to Dashboard - Pages - New Page - Web Address - And add this link. It's not the most strategic place, but that's most ideal one we've got.
Did you see the new widget sidebar they released. I think this is the answer to the follower problem. Is there a way to add music to DVs
DeleteYou bet I did. We (the Top Contributors in Blogger Help Forum) get news and updates about important releases before they let it out to the mass public. But this time, they decided to surprise everyone..
DeleteMusic in DV, well.. You'd have to add some third party script to embed music players in your blog, and at the moment, there isn't a way to do so. Sorry bout that.
Hi, I need a huge favor. I use dynamic view template. There's photo gallery at the top which I also include my affiliate link and previous post link in particular thumbnail. The problem is, the internal links are not working. When clicked, it will direct to "page not found" page. but when the address copy and paste to browser, it works fine. As for the affiliate link, I notice that it works well. I already delete and retype the text but nothing happen. Please advise. Awaiting for your reply. My blog is http://healthybeautifulblog.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteRegards,
Honeybee
You're using a third party non-dynamic view template. In any case, I've given you the link to Blogger Help Forum in one of my previous comments. Post a question there, and get back to me with its link. I'll reply you in the forum.
DeleteI would say - Superb writing and I don't know how you researched CSS, but good job done.
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping some words, appreciate it :)
DeleteThank you so so much for your tutorials- they have completely transformed my blog and you've made it easy for a technophobe like me to use them to produce great results
ReplyDeleteHi Heather. Thanks for dropping some words. Appreciate it :) Cheers.
DeleteJust wanted to say thanks very much for all the useful advice you give. I wasted a lot of time trying other stuff before finding your blog. You're a star!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lee :) Hope you're enjoying your stay here!
DeleteJust want to say thanks very much for those tutorials. Make a lots of changes in my blog. This site is awesome.
ReplyDeleteThanks for you comment. Appreciate it :)
DeleteI screwed up my blog! Now when I post new posts they are all joined together instead of a separate box for each post! What happened? Can you help me?
ReplyDeleteAll the posts published in the same day will get grouped under one group by default, in Blogger's built-in templates. Here's how you can change this:
Deletehttp://www.southernspeakers.net/2011/06/show-date-and-timestamp-for-each.html
U have been literally godsend, like someone said earlier :)Thanks for making my blog up and running- and for answering all my questions so patiently. Of course I will be back with more questions and a mess..
ReplyDeleteBTW, I was wondering if I could link you back from my blog, (you know, I just need my friends to know where to get help from). Of course I could put ur link but what about a "grab a button" or something - like http://www.blogdesignsbydani.com, for southern speakers. Just thinking loud :)
Thanks a lot again :)
Hi Elgee,
DeleteThat's a brilliant idea! I'll work on something.. Thanks for suggesting, appreciate it :)
Cheers..
Thanks for the help, so kind of you.
ReplyDeleteYour tutorials are great!
Much appreciated.
Hello there,
DeleteThank you, appreciate your kind words :)
Cheers and God bless.
hi my friend
ReplyDeleteI want to ask if there is a way TO put the Linkwithin in dynamic views and too the recent posts or popular posts.
Also if I can put else outside of Stat counter.
thanks for all
John
techandtech.gr
Hi giannis,
DeleteUnfortunately we can't add Linkwithin or recent posts to Dynamic Views as of yet.. As for statcounter, there's a little trick that you can use to show your blog's stat instead of the 'send feedback' button, check it out here:
http://www.southernspeakers.net/2012/06/adding-statcounter-in-blogger-dynamic.html
again me friend Yoga
ReplyDeletei can change the black color of fonts in home page with another?
there is a code for this?
thanks
john
Hi Giannis,
DeleteHave you tried going to Dashboard - Template - Customize - Advanced? You should be able to change the color of many font sections there.. :)
sorry yoga,i see the post, all OK.
ReplyDeletethanks
No biggie :)
Deletefrom the morning today the "edit html"boutton is unlocked in dynamic views.
ReplyDeletejohn
Hi John,
DeleteThe 'Edit HTML' option was never available for Dynamic View templates. It has always been locked.
the choice "edit html" is open today.
ReplyDeletesee this.
john
Whoah that's great news! I'm seeing it as well, thanks for informing John :)
DeleteThe link to ask a question has always worked for me before... but today it's just taking me to a blank google group page. No groups or posts there- just a search box. Did something change or am I just doing something wrong? Thanks-
ReplyDeleteHi Jenna,
DeleteThe link to the forum seems to be working fine --> https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!newtopic/blogger
Try clearing your browser's cache or cookies.. If your question isn't gonna be long, or if you need only short answers, feel free to shoot it here in the comments :)
Thank's Mr. Yoga.. I really appreciate your work for blogger dynamic views ....
ReplyDeleteI'm want to add Facebook comment section below posts in my blogger dynamic template. but i couldn't find anyhow on internet. could you pls tell me how to do it....
Hi Arif,
DeleteI'm not well versed with anything Facebook, since I don't have one (true story).. Do you happen to have the comment section HTML or Javascript code? You need to get this (if at all it is available) from Facebook.. If you do have them, get back to me with the code and I'll see if there's a way to integrate the code into Blogger..
your blog and tutorials are super helpful. i really appreciate how it's organized, and how the tips actually work! i just used the one to take off the border/shadows for images (looks weird when images have rounded corners). wanted to send a big thank you, and say that your girl is gorgeous! very cute couple together :)
ReplyDeleteHi Emilie,
DeleteA big thanks for your wonderful feedback - truly appreciate it! :)
Happy blogging, and God bless :)
Thank you very much Yoga! :)
ReplyDeleteYour blog has been very helpful! I'm so grateful! ☺
Hi Kiara,
DeleteGlad you think so, appreciate it :)

All because of you! ☺
Thanks again!
Looking great there, good job! :)
DeleteYou are awesome and I can only wish you the best in all your future endeavours, thank you so much for this great resource as all your help :)
ReplyDeleteHi Heather,
DeleteThat's nice of you. Appreciate the feedback, thanks! :)
Hello, Yoga. I have visited your site many times and found many new ideas for my blog. I have put many css in my blog. I you would like please visit my blog and give me some feedback >
ReplyDeletehttp://scoutingeverywhere.blogspot.in/
Hi Mukil,
DeleteYour blog is an eye candy - you've done a fantastic job. Kudos! :)
P/S: I'm a scout myself. Well, used to be :)
Hi, I have a request. I recently visited the Google's official blog http://googleblog.blogspot.in/ and it had a header bar that moves as we scroll, but it doesn't disappear and stays in the top of the page. Have a look at the blog. Could I make my header in my blog like that, using css or html ? If so kindly help me.
ReplyDeletehttp://scoutingeverywhere.blogspot.in/
Hi Mukil,
DeleteI've seen it before. Since Google has all the end devices at their disposal, they've created a custom template to create a unique look and stand out from other blogs. This template isn't available to us at the moment. I'm still waiting for an official confirmation from the team.
Hurrah! At last, I have put an animation in my blog. At first I could not figure out where to put the @keyframes, but it worked absolutely correct when I introduced it in the "template designer css". And finally I have an own animation in my blog(in header image).
ReplyDeletehttp://scoutingeverywhere.blogspot.in/
First, thank so you much for the help you provide here - I've been able to fix a couple of problems using your instructions. I want to ask a question(s) but when I click on the link to do so, I get a message that I don't have permission - it appears to be a group but there is no place I see to request permission to join. The website I am building (with no prior knowledge of how to do anything) is gottastampwithsuzanne.blogspot.com (I registered this as a .com domain with GoDaddy also but so far Blogger has not been able to make the connection). I am not sure how I will know if you reply here - hopefully I will get an email. Again, thank you!
ReplyDeleteHi Suzanne,
DeleteLet's bring this to the forum. Could you access the following page?
http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!categories/blogger/how-do-i
If yes, click on the red button that says 'Post a Question'. You will be attended if someone knows an answer to your question. Domain names are not my strong suit, but if no one replies you, get back to me with your question thread's link, and I'll escalate your thread to a Google Employee (if your issue isn't resolvable by normal methods)..
Cheers :)
Thanks for replying Yoga! I had posted a reply here before but it never showed up so I am trying again. I was able to access the page link you posted and I joined the group. I posted two questions and have had only one reply but it didn't solve my problem. I still have several questions. May I post them here?
DeleteHi, I can't post a question in the forum so I'll ask it here...
ReplyDeleteI use dynamic view template but my "like" to facebook in the end of post doesn't work..
can you halp me?
this is my blog:
http://noastoo.blogspot.co.il/
thank you, Noa.
Hi Noa..
DeleteHave you ever edited your Dynamic View template's HTML, by going to Dashboard - Template - Edit HTML - Proceed?
Thank you so much for starting an awesome blog like this. Without this i would have been staring blankly and pulling out all my hair....trying to do something nice to my blog.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the amazing work!!!
Hi!! I know supposed to use the 'Ask a Question' link but i tried doing it and it says 'You do not have permission to access this content. (#554)' So here are my queries:
ReplyDeleteThis is my blog id: http://shadesforduskywomen.blogspot.in/
#1 I want to add an image to the left of the blog name. I dont want a full header(i dont if i'm correct using this term)
#2 I want to add my Twitter and FB page under contact button in header. I want the twitter and fb link in the pull down menu and on clicking it should open my FB and twitter page in a new tab. Can this be done???
#3 Right now, my blog title name is not completely visible as you can see, so it possible to increase the height of the header so that all the letters are fully visible?
Hi Sudhaa,
ReplyDelete1) With the latest code that I've given you here, it is possible to add an image to your left. Do you have the image's link?
2) You can try adding a link the usual way (Dashboad - Pages - New Page - Web Address) and give it a button-like look by following the tutorial below:
http://www.southernspeakers.net/2011/12/blogger-dynamic-view-picture-menu.html
3) I've included a fix for this in the code that I gave here.
Cheers..
God bless you for this blog!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks allsy :)
DeleteYou really do a fantastic job here! I'm using the classic dynamic view and used some of the CSS tweaks you've blogged about for the header bar but now I can't see any of my pages!! Any suggestions about what I might be missing?
ReplyDeleteBlog: www.bumblingbanter.blogspot.co.uk
Thanks!
Hi Chandni,
DeleteSorry for the late reply. So, I tried viewing your blog, but it is set as private. Any chance of you setting it to public again so that I can have a look?
Cheers.
Hi,
DeleteThanks (it's back for public viewing now)! I was having too many problems with dynamic views (comments were not showing on static pages) so switched back to a simple template. I have a new query though. The page tabs get highlighted when clicked on and there is a light grey border along the page tabs header. I want to remove both. Is that possible? Sorry for the long msg. Thanks in advance!
I tried clicking on your pages links and it doesn't look like your tab is getting highlighted, and I couldn't see any border around your tabs. This is what I'm seeing --> http://i.imgur.com/MeoI2.png
DeleteWhat am I missing?
Oh sorry for all the bother. I found a fix myself! But thanks for all the effort. It is very kind of you. Bookmarked your blog for all future references :)
DeleteI just found this blog and it is a lifesaver! I hated blogger's dynamic view usability at first, but love the look so much. Now I can make the most if it and still do what I need it to! Thanks so much xo
ReplyDeleteThanks Steampunk Princess, appreciate the feedback :)
DeleteHope you enjoy your stay here.
Thank you so much for your wonderful tutorials, Yoboy! You have been a great help!
ReplyDeleteThanks, that's what I was aiming for! And appreciate you dropping some words :)
DeleteCheers and God bless!
hi my friend yoboy
ReplyDeletei use from yesterday magazine dynamic views template but no work in designer blog the button "apply to blog"
why?
thanks
John
techandtech.gr
Hi Giannis,
DeleteI'm sorry somehow I've missed your comment. Your issue isn't local to your blog alone. Here's a discussion on it: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/blogger/S_uVwRQQrOY
Blogger is still investigating what's wrong. Follow the discussion in the link above to stay up to date.
Sir,
ReplyDeleteCan u plz help me with a query
There is a tutorial in some blog, which teaches us how to replace default comments with facebook comments. In the tutorial, they also teach how to change the "number count of deafult comments" to "number of fb comments".The code to display NUMBER of fb comments and not default comments is
(function(d){
var js, id = 'facebook-jssdk'; if (d.getElementById(id)) {return;}
js = d.createElement('script'); js.id = id; js.async = true;
js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1";
d.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(js);
}(document));
comments
screenshot of code:
http://img.ctrlv.in/50d0677e48e73.jpg
The above code does not work for dynamic views(this question is only applicable to Sidebar DV coz in sidebar DV in left sidebar it shows the number of comments commented).I know a small tweak is required, but i am failing, will u plz help me sir?
Hi there,
DeleteThere isn't anything wrong with the code. The thing is, the comment in Dynamic View templates are kinda embedded deep within the template itself, which runs from Blogger's script, which is hosted at Blogger's end. I'm not sure if it is even possible to replace the comment in DV, I've never seen anyone succeeding so far.
Yoga after switching to dynamic view was debating whether to switch back as I missed my sidebar gadget thanks to you I got it to stay in place...awesome job you are doing.Thank you so much!!
ReplyDeleteHi Sonia,
DeleteGlad I could be of help. Let me know if you need any help at all :)
Cheers..
Your blog is really helpful for all those beginners in blogging :D Keep it up :D, Thank you very much.
ReplyDeleteDon't mention it Marvin :)
DeleteI just wanted to thank you for your helpful tips. You run a very impressive blog, and I'm more than happy with the way my automotive blog is turning out. Wouldn't have been possible without you!
ReplyDeleteHere's the link to my blog if you'd like to see how it turned out: http://www.petrolheadcentral.blogspot.com/
Looking great there Samir. Keep up the good work! :)
DeleteHi Yoga.
ReplyDeleteDid anything changed recently in blogspot function : insert image? Always talking for html mode,
Now everytime i insert an image, only to have in thumbnail, it appears inside the post also...
http://crossroadofmusic.blogspot.gr/
Yeah, they changed the HTML image uploaded to the one being used in the Compose version. In any case, see if the walktrhough below solves your problem:
Deletehttp://www.southernspeakers.net/2011/10/change-blogger-dynamic-views-thumbnail.html
Cheers..
Thank you SO MUCH for all the really useful advice you offer! I've used more than a few of your dynamic view mods and they work great (and make me much less frustrated). I can see you get a lot of thanks, but I just didn't feel right using so much of your work without some kind of acknowledgment. You rock. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Xandra,
DeleteThat's nice of you to drop some words here. Thanks, means a lot! :)
Cheers..
Very helpful hacks for the Dynamic views mate!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, all the best.
No problem, thanks! :)
DeleteHi, my subscription link is not working though added as a gadget. Can you help? Also is there a way to have add comments button on dynamic view? I know you have a tutorial on changing the comments button, but I don't have it to begin with. My blog is here: http://madaskher.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteAs you will see, I have REALLY been using your ideas. Thanks
As Blogger continues to update the contents of the gadgets, it is difficult to keep up with all the changes. Some of the recently supported gadgets will not work on the left hand side. That is the case for your subscription gadget. I think it is better if you could bring it back to the right.
DeleteAs for the comment link, it is a recent known bug from Blogger itself, and it is being dealt with as we speak.
I have done exactly that and it is now working. Thanks alot!
DeleteImporting Facebook Comments into Blog
ReplyDeleteYoga,
I know lots of folks have asked you this. Came across this to import Facebook comments into a Dynamic Blog.
http://www.bloggerplugins.org/2011/09/facebook-comments-for-blogger.html
However, not going past the FB developer page since I keep getting this message:
You have specified an App Domain but have not specified a valid integration URL.
www.$%$%$%$%.com must be derived from one of: Site URL, Mobile Site URL, Canvas URL, Secure Canvas URL, Page Tab URL or Secure Page Tab URL."
Not sure how I will go pas this early hurdle. As always, turning to the Master for help and guidance!!
Cheers
Ashok
Hi Ashok,
DeleteReplied via email :)
Literally amazing, you have been incredibly helpful! Very talented! Do you know if there's any way to get the reactions widget back for posts in dynamic view? My blog url is: http://mozartwouldnotenjoythis.blogspot.co.uk/ You'll definitely notice some of your enhancements there, hahaa! Thanks again :)
ReplyDeleteP.S would be interested to see how the above facebook comment plugin works?
Hi Emma,
DeleteI'm afraid the reaction widget is a lost cause for not (Facebook comments as well). Things should get interesting should Blogger decide to support the HTML/Javascript gadget, as it is not possible to do anything to the current templates' source as of now. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
Nice blog you got there :)
thank you so freakin' much for the wonderful and easy-to-follow tutorials! you are amazing. that is all :)
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure.. And thanks! :)
DeleteHi! I've used your tutorials to center my comment box and comments. Thank you A LOT for your help!! Now I am wondering is there a way to change the text-align in the comments to the center? I tried to do this on my own 'cause I thought it'd be simple but I didn't get it working :D
ReplyDeleteThanks!
...and after sending a comment the comment form turns out really weird and is placed too much on the right :O
ReplyDeleteHi Laura,
DeleteLet's have a look at your blog. What's your blog's address?
Cheers :)
Hi, can you do a tutorial on how to have multiple headers? For example, every time you refresh the page a new header comes up. If that's not possible could you do one so there's a new header for each page. Hope I'm not asking too much, thanks.
ReplyDeleteHi Akisame,
DeleteI'm afraid that will be a wee bit too complicated. But assigning a separate header for each page might be possible. I'll have to look into it. I'll give it a try when I have some spare time and get back to you.
Hi! Thanks for replying, sorry, I didn't see this! I will wait patiently ^^
DeleteHello Akisame,
DeleteI should have asked this earlier. Were you referring to a dynamic template by any chance?
Hello! I wanted to ask for your help as I have been following your blog for a year and I think your tutorials are great.
ReplyDeleteI was using before the Wallbase template for my blog and I loved it but as it was not originally meant for blogger it had some problems, so in the end I have decided to change it and now I'm using dynamic views, however I loved the fact that I had a background that changed each "x" seconds and when refreshing the page. Do you know if there is some way to do this??
The code used in the wallbase template was something with jquery but as much as I tried I couldn't use it for my actual blog.
Thanks a lot for your time if you read this. If it's not something you can (or want to) do don't worry at all.
Hi Arturo,
DeleteAs shiny as DV templates look, unfortunately, they do come with many limitations. The lack of customisation options is one of them. DV Templates are not known to respond well with javascript or jquery, sadly. I'm afraid there isn't much we can do for now, until Blogger makes the HTML/Javascript gadget available for DV templates.
Hi Yoga,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your blog! I've used it numerous times to get me out of frustrating binds and even learned some things to do by myself. I really appreciate you taking time out to post such helpful and easy to use tutorials. Thanks again!
Heather
Hi Heather,
DeleteAfter what's seeming to be a strenuous weekend your comment has just made my day.. Thanks, means alot :)
Cheers.
Thank you SO MUCH for this blog. I just used probably 10 of your tutorials to improve a nonprofit blog I'm helping with that was hopelessly in need of updating. I wish you could see what it looked like before. I wanted to at least change it to dynamic view but there were so many things I didn't like about DV. And now it's all fixed, thanks to you! I can't thank you enough for your easy-to-understand tutorials. I don't know anything about web design or CSS; I was an English major in college. But now I feel like our organization (we raise money to buy lifesaving equipment for the preemies in our local NICU) has a website we can be proud of. Thank you again!
ReplyDeleteEnglish is like my third-language here in Malaysia, and it sure is intimidating replying to an English major graduate. I'd like you to know that it is very kind of you to leave a well-written feedback here - always appreciated and means a lot :) Thanks!
DeleteI cannot thank you enough for sharing your wisdom on this blog! I created a Blogger account so I could move my job portfolio online--a requirement for a job I'm applying for. I'm a web designer with reasonable HTML and CSS skills, and very limited JavaScript skills. Thought customizing my blog would be a breeze, but of course there is just enough differences compared to what I do at my current job, plus the pressure and application deadline for applying for a new position elsewhere, that I just wasn't picking it up fast enough. After days of searching I found your blog, which has proven very useful in the first hour alone. Will be bookmarking this blog for sure. THANK YOU! -Jon
ReplyDeleteHi Jon,
DeleteSorry for my ridiculously late reply. It's really nice of you to write to me just to say thanks. I'm not very good with words, but do know that I appreciate your comments - means a lottt to me :)
And good luck getting the position you're apply for. Cheers and God bless! :)
Yoga, I am very thankful for all the help that you have provided me and others in the blogger community!!
ReplyDeleteI have a problem and I am unable to find a way out, and I am sincerely hoping that you will give me a hand to climb up..
I am unable to place a "Comment" box in the header Pages, even after trying with the default way to place reader comments in a Page. I even tried the method that you suggested to make a "dedicated comments page", but it didn't work.
I am using a dynamic view default template with many little tweaks that you have suggested. Waiting very eagerly for your response.
My url is http://vishnutheveracious.blogspot.in
Thank you for your precious time Yoga.
-Vishnu
Hi Vishnu,
DeleteThe comment feature in Dynamic View static pages was temporarily disabled in the past, probably due to some bug or something. Unfortunately, I've just learnt the news that Blogger is not planning to restore this feature. As of now, the status is, static pages in Dynamic View templates will not have comment boxes.
Without you dynamic views are useless #respect. Thanks a ton!!!1
ReplyDeleteThanks Shrenuj! :)
DeleteThanks for all your great tutorials, I have used many of them. If you know how to adjust the "hover color" when you hover over blog post in dynamic view, I would love to know! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteRobert
Hi Robert,
DeleteSorry for the late reply. This should work for your magazine view:
#content .title a:hover{
color: red !important;
}
Cheers :)
Hi Yoboy,
ReplyDeleteJust want to drop a quick note to thank you about the amazing tutorial here, it has been a great help to me after I switch to dynamic view. The step by step are all clear and easy to follow. Great work you have here, thank you again.. :))
That's very nice of you Renee, thanks, means alot! :)
DeleteHey Yoboy !
ReplyDeleteyour tutorials and advice helped my a lot on customizing and reforming my blog as i see fit. thanks a lot and be well.
Thanks Demetris! :D
Deletehi there, just wanna ask if you know how to add border on images with caption (inside the border) like this http://i1317.photobucket.com/albums/t640/teesjay/framing/xvgsdfsdf_zps2335052c.jpg?
ReplyDeleteLooks possible, although it depends entirely on the template that you're using. I can't suggest anything without looking at the actual template itself.
DeleteI am only using a Simple Template
DeleteCould you provide me a URL to look into?
DeleteFirst of all I want to say thank you for your awesome tutorials! You(r blog) helped me a lot! I've just started to use dynamic view, realized a lot of uncomfortable things with it and I've found solutions nowhere else but in your blog. So thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteI have 2 problems that I didn't see solved here either. One of them is that I can't use HTML/Javascript gadgets. I don't know why, they just don't appear in the gadget-dock.
The other is that I pasted a picture in the gadget-dock (with text gadget) and it seems bigger than the allowed (or I don't know what the problem is...), so a scrollbar appears near the picture. Is it possible to remove that?
I mean this:
http://oi39.tinypic.com/25zkvm1.jpg
(I made the pic smaller and smaller, didn't help...)
Thank you very much!
Hello there,
Delete1) Dynamic View templates don't support HTML/Javascript gadgets just yet - probably it will never do, I'm afraid.
2) I'll have to have a look at your blog to inspect further. Do you have a link I can look at?
Hi, would it be possible for you to make a "back to top" arrow code? Sort of like your floating gadgets, except not.
ReplyDeleteDo you have a specific template in mind? Pretty sure won't work with DV templates, but worth a try on others.
DeleteMuchas gracias por compartir tus conocimientos con el mundo. Me ha ayudado mucho tu blog.

Thanks.......
Dear friend i apologize for my low english..i'm facing a problem with the blogger HTML section..i cant acces to the HTML..there is always a new error code..desperately saerching for some solution..please can you help me.
ReplyDeleteYour template is probably broken, and as such you might not be able to get to the Edit HTML section ever again. One possible solution is to upload a third party template by going to Dashboard - Template - Backup/restore. But you might wanna backup your template first as it will replace your template. Once your new template is uploaded, try accessing your Edit HTML section again.
DeleteHello there!
ReplyDeleteRan across your blog while searching Google for shadow boxes for images. I found EXACTLY what I was looking for here! Thank you so much!
I personally really appreciate the work you put into helping people here, and obviously many others do as well. Definitely bookmarking this!
Thanks Natalie, very much appreciated!
DeleteNot sure if last question worked :S. Please can you remove my url/post from November 20 2012, 6:22 pm on this link

Appreciated :). great website and thanks for the help 2 years back!
I can't find the comment you're referring to (possibly because the time I'm seeing must have been adjusted for my region). Could you gimme the link of the comment instead?
DeleteI didn't know how to contact you. I need your help with this problem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOAEsRkfDRU Is there something to do? You can see in that video that the ads are shown only on maximum 6 post.
DeleteThis is my theory. You can add up the three ads for Adsense for Contents. In Dynamic View, all your posts are dynamically loaded at once - and this uses up the quota for displaying your ad. There isn't much you can do to change this behaviour.

ReplyDeleteHello Sunny,
ReplyDeleteThat's thoughtful of you. I'll give it a go when I get the time :) Happy blogging!
Hi
ReplyDeleteThnx for the great lessons.
I have a problem Please Help:
I am using Blogger's dynamic view, and only flipcard option is available, and my website is an online games one so that theme is working really good with me.
but I have a problem that ruined the whole thing: when players want to play games, they use the arrows, and that make them go to the other post ( I hope you understand me since I am not very good at english)
SO PLEASE HELP ME REMOVE THE ARROWS!!!
Hello CS,
DeleteI've had a similar query before. Unfortunately there is no way to disable keyboard navigation from DV templates. They're built in.
Hey Yoga!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't find my original comment to post on, so I'm making a new one. :-)
I want to change the titles on the static page only. For example at the moment, whatever I title the static page will appear on the top menu bar as well. Is there a way make the title of the static page different? For an example Check out the "hello" page on my blog Simplyherfav.com
It's private so when you request access, I'll approve you, thanks for all of your help! :-)
Felicia
Hello Felicia,
DeleteThere is no option to request access in your private blog - but worry not, I get what you're trying to do. You could add your page as an external page. Go to Dashboard - Layout - Page - Edit - Add External Link. Under 'Page Title', give the title that you want it to show in your menu. The URL should be of the page's.
Good luck!
Hi, I have been following many of your tutorials. Just want to thank you for really bringing out the potential of the Dynamic Views!
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to say thanks for all of the tutorials that you posted here. They were really helpful, and allowed me to customize my site the way I wanted to.
Can't leave a question, 'productforums.google.com' limits you to a single question at a time, I have 3...
ReplyDeleteLet's go one at a time, get back to me with its link.
